Ok so lately I’ve been jumping bewtween different blog sites to see which one fits my style best. I’m still not quite sure how I like each one…but whatever.

Today me and Alex went on an awesome hike through the woods. We started out on a trail (sort of) and ended up hiking up a cliff to get back to civilization. So I actually got a much better workout than I had hoped for! I know I am going to be sore tomorrow…

Yesterday me and Alex also went to the fair and I took a few cool pictures Not as many as I had hoped but thats ok. I would like to go to the N GA fair during the daytime and see if it is any better.

So yeah, pretty lights at night

I am very excited about our pot roast we have been slow cooking for tonight…and all the great fall tv shows come back tonight! Great first day of fall I think

Still sort of having a “photographers block”… hopefully I can get out of it soon.

I’m off again this Saturday so maybe I can talk Alex into going somewhere where I can shoot

I also ordered a wireless remote online yesterday so I’m excited to use that! I want to go downtown and get some cool night shots…

Lightroom

I finally got Adobe lightroom last night. Very cool program.

Although, I don’t have much that is new to work on in it so I’m waiting for inspiration so that I can batch-edit them in lightroom

There is a chance that we are going to Boston in March which would be AMAZING!!! Just the thought of traveling to a new city where I can take pictures gets me all excited.

I’m ready for my business cards to get here…then maybe I can start working!

I have spent the last few days getting over being sick but at least some good has come of it…my website is up finally!

tadaa! Thanks a bunch to my lovely boyfriend alex who pretty much did all the hard work while I just bossed him around and told him what I wanted it to look like

So the next couple of weeks I hope to do a few free jobs for people to get in some practice. I’ve already got 2 or 3 people in mind So exciting! Also, I need to look into getting some business cards made…

Alex left today for Ohio…boo! So I’ll be spending the next few days all by my onesies. Well, for the most part. I still have this precious boy to keep me company:

Only one more day of work until Christmas in here! Thank goodness…people are seriously crazy this year. It always suprises me the amount of people who wait until the last minute to do stuff and then flip out when we tell them it will not be ready by Christmas. Is it really going to help to get mad and yell? Nope.

I hope to get out today and on Christmas and take some pictures. I’ll be spending Christmas day at my sisters place and she’s modeled for me before so maybe I can get her to do it again This is one from her wedding:

Ok, everyone is gone in the apartment now so I’m going to crank up the tunes and clean!

First off, Kudos to whoever gets the firefly reference in my very first blog post title!

This will be a place for me to talk about and share my photography and most likely vent about the trials and tribulations of working in a retail photo lab. I get to see some pretty weird stuff sometimes…but also some truly amazing stuff too.
